HONOR ROLL OF CERTIFIED MEMBERS The National Association of Home Builders offers members targeted curriculums designed to build professional and technical skills and lead to certification in many areas of the home building industry. Members can take classes and earn professional designations and certificates in 13 specific areas ranging from active adult housing, aging-in-place, and green building, to master levels in building and remodeling. Below is the Honor Roll of Home Builders Association of Connecticut members who have invested their time in classes and course work to improve their skills, knowledge and professionalism. Many of our members have earned multiple certifications; their names are marked with an asterisk and listed under several headings. After an inital review and assessment of a builder's professional knowledge, a program of 8 classes, customized to meet the builders needs is developed. To earn the certification, the builder must take the classes, plus one additional class annually to ensure continued professional growth. Members must have a minimum of 2 years building experience, complete a 2-day course and commit to 12 hours of additional continuing education every 3 years.
