Construction Contracts & Warranties

NAHB Contracts - choose from 27 different contracts.  Use of these national model contracts need to be edited to comply with the CT Home Improvement Contractor or CT New Home Construction Contractor laws.  Check with an attorney to ensure your contracts comply with the law.

New home construction in CT carries a statutory implied warranty that the new home is 1) free from faulty construction, 2) constructed according to sound engineering standards, 3) constructed in a workmanlike manner, and 4) fit for habitation.  See Conn. General Statutes, Chapter 827.  Builders may also offer an express warranty (see also Chapter 827).
